The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. Favorite Track(s): Die Feuertaufe, Grabenlieder

Extraordinary work by Antrisch, can't stop listening to it although Black Metal usually struggles to convince me. Same like for Antrisch's EXPEDITION I: Dissonanzgrat applies: This album is strong from its first sounds of creaking wooden hull to its last sounds of wind and waves, deciding for a favourite track would not do justice for the geniality of the remaining five, the one coming closest to a favourite one could be I FESTGEFROREN - Packeisfalle in my opinion.
