Pitch black nights turn to pitch black days
The struggle of meandering minds
Drawn into a convoluted maze of pain
Driven to conclusions of the vilest kind
The face of a still black sea
Relieve me of this spell
And then a bolt of pain!
Contorted comprehension burns its way, startles me
Decapitation for a wake up call in agony
Blood is pooling in my eyes to finally make me see
Truth is nowhere to be found but inside of me
The choice was a conscious one
To wear the cloak of suffering
The voices promised guidance
But lied and now I'm falling
The face of a still black sea
Relieve me of this spell
Drown out the agony
Release me from this hell
Pitch black nights turn to pitch black days
The struggle of meandering minds
Drawn into a convoluted maze of pain
Driven to conclusions of the vilest kind
I will face the still black sea
The crack of dawn brings forth a new light
Take heed of the silence in the storm
For the breaking day shall end the pitch black night

Desolator have the distinction of creating music that should appeal to any fan of the various death metal sub genres. You’re going to find both brutal (Adversarial Doctrine) and melodic (Methods of Self-deception) tracks; the album has an old school feel while not really falling into OSDM worship. The technical aspect is by no means central, but tech death fans should appreciate the riff craft on display (Creatures of Habit). I even got a Sepultura vibe from the drums on the last track.
